World Poker TourThe World Poker Tour (WPT) initially announced in May three stops for the summer as part of its Season XIX schedule. The first was a WPT Online Series Main Event on May 23, a stop at the Seminole Hard Rock Tampa in Central Florida on June 18 and a WPT Venetian Las Vegas stop in July.

The WPT has now gone ahead and released the remaining schedule for the 2021 North American tour stops. The schedule is pretty much similar to what the WPT used to have prior to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Live poker players will definitely enjoy the return of the WPT but all of the scheduling will be subject to COVID being kept under control for the rest of 2021.

The WPT has announced an additional four stops for the rest of 2021. The WPT will make two more stops in Florida, one stop in Maryland and bring back a classic WPT Las Vegas event with the WPT Bellagio Five Diamond Classic.

Live poker players in Florida, can look forward to the $3,500 WPT bestbet Scramble in Jacksonville from August 27 to 31. The tour goes to Maryland in September as Maryland Live! Casino will play host to the $3,500 WPT Maryland from Sep 24 to 28. WPT Maryland is expected to have a big turnout.

The WPT will then return to Florida as the Seminole Hard Rock Casino in Hollywood will host the $3,500 2021 WPT Seminole Rock ‘N’ Roll Poker Open from November 26 to 30. The 2019 edition of this event it created a stop record with 988 registrations. The final stop will be the WPT Bellagio Five Diamond Classic which has a $10,400 buy-in and runs from December 15 to 19.

WPT Heads Up Poker Championship

While the WPT live action seen is slowly picking up, online poker players still have a lot to look forward to. Online poker players have some great action in June with the WPT Heads Up Poker Championship scheduled to run from June 18 to 22. This event has a $25,000 buy-in and will run on Poker King.

Do note that this is an invite only event which will be live streamed across multiple WPT platforms including Twitch and the WatchWPT app. Some of the players that have received invites and have accepted the same include Tom Dwan, Phil Ivey, Brad Own, Nick Schulman and Landon Tice.
