It will be another huge month for players on PokerStars, with two massive events scheduled to take place over the next few weeks.

Sunday Million is set to celebrate its 16th anniversary this March via a special tournament, while the popular Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) will heat up the online tables in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Michigan.

16th Anniversary Sunday Million

The 16th Anniversary Sunday Million is scheduled to run on March 20, 2022. The special tournament comes with a massive $10 million guaranteed prize pool with the buy-in staying at $215.

Players on PokerStars’ dot.com network have multiple options to enter the tournament – they may do so via direct buy-in or secure a seat through satellites currently running on the site. PokerStars is also hosting special edition Spin & Go’s starting at $0.50 that award entries to the event.

The Sunday Million debuted in March 2006 and has gone from strength to strength, becoming the biggest weekly poker tournament in the world. The tournament has a regular buy-in of $215 and a guarantee of $1 million, awarding at least $100,000 to the winner.

Every year, PokerStars hosts a special anniversary tournament to mark the Sunday Million’s birthday, and 2022 is no exception. Last year, the celebratory event which featured a higher guarantee of $12.5 million, was won by Vanessa Kade for $1.5 million. The tournament attracted nearly 70,000 entries, generating $13.9 million in total prize pool.

SCOOP 2022

Players in the US should free up their schedule on March 25 as the first SCOOP event kicks off on that date open to players in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Michigan. PokerStars has yet to announce the full schedule for the series but it’s already been confirmed that it will run until April 11.

The 2021 SCOOP was the biggest online poker series of the year in the US, with a total of 406 champions crowned. Players can look forward to another huge festival this year, with the schedule expected to be announced in the coming days.
