WSOP.comSummary:

  • The 112 Seat Sprint will run from June 25 to July 8 on WSOP.com
  • A total of 112 Main Event seats are up for grabs via affordable satellites
  • The WSOP is aiming to smash its own record for the largest Main Event field in history

The 2023 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event seat giveaway is still ongoing, with WSOP.com awarding tickets to the prestigious tournament starting June 25 as part of the “112 Seat Sprint” promo.

This is the latest effort by the WSOP to break its own Main Event record this year. Hundreds of seats have already been given away via several other campaigns run by the WSOP and its partners, including GGPoker’s Road to Vegas.

Take Part in WSOP.com’s 112 Seat Sprint

From June 25 to July 8, WSOP.com will host Main Event satellites with buy-ins ranging from $80 to $126. The satellites will be played in an all-in format, with the site giving away a total of 112 Main Event seats across two weeks. 25 of the seats will be awarded on July 2 via the 25 Seat Scramble, which players should not miss.

There will also be a last-chance drawing for the last Main Event seat which will happen on July 8.

It’s a busy two months for WSOP.com as the platform is also currently hosting an online bracelet series for its US Poker players in New Jersey and Nevada. This year’s schedule is comprised of 20 online bracelet events and players may choose from buy-ins of between $333 and $5,300. The series runs until July 16, coinciding with the live festival in Las Vegas.

Fulfilling Dreams and Breaking Records

The WSOP Main Event online satellite system has become extremely popular since Chris Moneymaker’s historic 2003 WSOP Main Event victory. Moneymaker, then an amateur, won the tournament via an $86 satellite on PokerStars. Last year’s Main Event winner Espen Jørstad pulled off a similar victory as he also qualified for the tournament through a $1,050 satellite on GGPoker.

The WSOP continues the tradition of giving players the chance to take a shot at one of the world’s biggest poker tournaments at a cheaper price. By sending hundreds of players to the 2023 Main Event, the WSOP will not only give players the chance to turn their dream into reality but will also allow the brand to make 2023 another record-breaking year for the festival.

WSOP Executive Director Ty Stewart already made a bold prediction that the 2023 WSOP Main Event will pull in nearly 10,000 players, which would create a new record for the largest WSOP Main Event field in history.
