partypoker has put together a special summer edition of its partypoker Grand Prix KO which will take place from Aug 11 to 29. The partypoker Grand Prix KO will feature a total of 14 progressive knock out (PKO) events with buy-ins that will appeal to both low stakes and mid stakes players.

Players who participate will have a crack at a combined prize pool of close to $2 million.

Multiple Events Ideal Low Stakes Players

A lot of the online poker action in recent months from top poker sites have appealed mostly to mid stakes and high stakes players. partypoker has put together the partypoker Grand Prix KO Summer Edition with a format that will attract low stakes and mid stakes players as the buy-ins starting out from $5.50 and maxing out at $320.

Low stakes players need to watch out for Opening event which will run from Aug 11 to 15 with a $33 buy-in and a guaranteed prize pool of $75,000; The Mini 6-Max Championship which runs from Aug 11 to 18 with a $22 buy-in and a guaranteed prize pool of $75,000; the Mini Main Event which runs from Aug 11 to 29 and comes with a $100,000 prize pool.

The list of low stakes event continues with Mini 7-Max Championship taking place from Aug 19 to 25 with a $75,000 prize pool and a $22 buy-in; the Mini Closer which has a $3.30 buy-in and a $20,000 prize pool and runs from Aug 23 to 29 and the Closer which runs from Aug 23 to 29 with a $33 buy-in and a $100,000 prize pool.

Mid stakes players have a lesser number of events to choose from but there is some nice action on offer. They will need to watch out for 6-Max Championship running from Aug 11 to 18 with a $215 buy-in and a $200,000 prize pool; the 7-Max High Roller which has a $320 buy-in and a $250,000 prize pool and runs from Aug 12 to 22.

The highlight will be the Grand Prix KO Summer Edition Main Event which has a $109 buy-in, a prize pool of $500,000 and runs from Aug 13 to 22.
