Gaming Innovation Group partners with Playtech's iPoker NetworkGaming Innovation Group (GiG) is hoping to boost its online gaming offering with the recent integration of Playtech’s iPoker network into its platform. The new partnership marks GiG’s first foray into the world of online poker, paving the way for exciting possibilities.

iPoker is one of the largest online poker networks in the world, with approximately 35,000 players across multiple regulated online poker markets all over the globe. Its rooms offer a wide variety of games, such as Texas Hold’em, Omaha, Six-Plus Hold’em, as well as Sit N’ Gos, which can be played in a vast range of buy-ins and stakes. The new deal will strengthen the poker offering of GiG’s operator partners, and will add more flexibility and choice by incorporating GiG’s microservices options. The company’s COO Ben Clemes is confident that the new partnership will take user experience to a whole new level, attracting more partners in the future.

Playtech’s COO Shimon Akad is equally delighted with the latest tie-up, saying GiG will be a vital strategic partner for the company. Both companies will now work together towards providing an “exceptionally flexible platform” for their growing player base, while being at the forefront of poker innovation and technology.

iPoker Network

Playtech-owned iPoker is among the largest poker networks in the world, and has been in operation since 1999. It supports major online poker rooms such as Bet365, William Hill, Betfair and Ladbrokes.

iPoker has expanded its network significantly over the past few weeks due to the permanent closure of Microgaming Poker Network (MPN). Nine skins previously running on MPN have now transitioned to iPoker, including Red Star Poker and Grosvenor Poker. The veteran poker network closed for good on May 19, after more than a decade in business.

Just over a week ago, Swedish online gambling group Enlabs AB also announced it is leaving GG Network to join iPoker, as it aims to bolster its position as a top online poker provider in the Baltics. Enlabs employs over 200 employees across its offices in multiple locations, including Malta, Stockholm, Marbella, Riga, Minks, and Vilnius.
