India Online Poker ChampionshipThe second edition of the popular India Online Poker Championship (IOPC) has created history for being the biggest online series in the country. The festival attracted 99,990 entries across 18 days of exciting online action, generating Rs. 32 Crores in total prize money. Spartan Poker played host to the massive series from July 9 to 26, 2020.

Due to the huge turnout, the festival was able to smash its initial guarantee of Rs 25 Crores, something organizers take pride in. The Founder and Managing Director of Spartan Poker Amin Rozani said there’s no better way to end the season than to break records and create history.

The outstanding results also offer an insight into India’s budding online poker market, which is home to some of the world’s most talented and highly-skilled poker players.

While the festival has enjoyed significant growth with each passing year, it isn’t enough reason for both teams at Spartan Poker and IOPC to rest on their laurels. Rozani said it only motivates them to push their limits and work harder to improve the overall IOPC experience and keep the players’ spirits high during every edition.

The first edition of the IOPC 2020 back in January was also hugely successful, with more than Rs 20 Crores being given away to the winners. The latest guarantees on offer show how far the IOPC has gone through the years. It wasn’t that big when it started. In fact, the inaugural event, which was held back in October 2016, only paid out Rs 8.6 Crores in total prize pool.

The recently-concluded festival saw Harshit Sanghi walking away as the Main Event winner after topping a field of more than 4,000 entries to win Rs. 47.37 Lakhs in first-place prize. Manish Lakhotia won the Millionaire United, while Raghav Bansal and Gokul Raj took down the IOPC High Rollers. The Millionaire Legend went to Sriharsha Doddapaneni, while the Super High Roller and Leaderbord were topped by Anuj Yadav and Bhanu Prakash respectively.
