While March 4th is still a month away, it is never too early to begin preparing yourself for a tournament series of this proportion. On March 4th, the Merge Poker Network, who plays home to sites like Gr88 Poker, Lock Poker, and Carbon Poker, will be launching a set of 70 different events. The series is called Poker Maximus and will be going on for 22 days. Merge guarantees a prize pool of at least $1.5 million but chances are, it will exceed that amount. On March 25th, the final day, there are going to be 4 different Main Events and half of them guarantee a prize pool of at least $200k. There will also be a leaderboard set up that keeps track of the best players over the course of the series. Whoever finishes in the top three in the Poker Maximus tournament series will receive prizes as well. The Merge Network is home to a lot of US poker sites and is currently the best option in online poker at the moment. This tournament is a huge step forward for a poker network that, just one year ago, was not nearly as big as they are currently.Poker Maximus is a versatile series of events because it offers players a wide variety of options to choose from. Some buy-ins are very cheap and others are quite expensive and this variety gives players the ability to play at a level that suits them. Poker Maximus has high and low buy-ins but most of the events are in and around the $10 range. Mark your calendars because beginning on March 4th the Merge Gaming Network has a lot of money to give away.
