GGPoker is currently hosting the international leg of the 2021 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Online Bracelet Series which runs until September 12. GGPoker is also running satellites to the live WSOP Main Event at the Rio in Las Vegas, and so far, 50 players have secured seats to the prestigious tournament.
The “Road to Vegas” Main Event satellite program is in full swing on GGPoker. The site has been giving away dozens of Main Event packages on a weekly basis since the start of the month. Each week, the operator hosts plenty of satellites, giving players the chance to earn a seat into the Main Event for as low as $25.
The Main Event package includes the $10,000 tournament buy-in, accommodation at the Rio for seven nights, as well as travel expenses worth $1,250. In addition to that, satellite winners will also gain access to the GG WSOP Players Party and the GGPoker Platinum Lounge at the Rio. They will also receive GGPoker-branded merchandise, for a total value of $12,500.
Over 200 Players Could Win Main Event Seats
The 2021 WSOP live festival will kick off at the Rio on September 30. The series will culminate in the Main Event which gets underway on November 4, with the finale taking place on November 21.
Players still have a lot of time to prepare for the big event, and those looking to secure a ticket for a cheaper price may still take a shot at satellites running on GGPoker. Over the next few weeks, the operator is expected to boost the satellite program as the tournament draws nearer, with more Main Event packages up for grabs.
Originally, 888poker was the only international site where players can win a seat into the WSOP Main Event. Each year, hundreds of players were able to secure a ticket into the tournament via 888poker, but GGPoker is on course to create a new record.
In just two weeks, 50 players were able to win a seat – that’s an average of 4 seats daily. Assuming the promo extends for another two months, GGPoker could end up awarding Main Event packages to at least 228 qualifiers.
The WSOP is pushing on with plans for the fall festival, despite the rising COVID-19 cases in the US and across the world and GGPoker will continue to run its promotions for the 2021 WSOP Main Event.
