Like most of us, Canadian poker star Daniel Negreanu made a list of tasks that he would like to accomplish during 2012. One of the biggest aspects of his list is that Negreanu wants to record $1 million in cash from games and tournaments. This is a task that may sound outrageous for some, but it is important to remember that Negreanu finished with over $1 million in 2 out of the last three years. 2010 was a “bad” year for him and he only just surpassed the $600,000 mark.Daniel also wants to top the list of all time money earned through cash poker games and tournaments. Currently Negreanu sits in 2nd place, behind Eric Seidel. Seidel has earned about $16.8 million throughout his career and Negreanu is hot on his tail with a career mark of $14.9 million. If Seidel has an off year and Negreanu tears apart 2012, who knows, we could see a new name at the top of that list. The goal of getting to the top of the career list is not unfathomable because last January Negreanu was in first. At the time he dethroned Phil Ivey. His ambitions do not stop there, because Negreanu also stated that he wants a bracelet from the World Series of Poker. Most would expect him to bring home more than one gold bracelet, but he has been in a bit of a drought since 2008 and is hoping to turn things around this year. Through entering all sorts of huge cash game competitions all year Negreanu expects to dominate the competition. He has also stated that his dedication will go so far that he estimates a total expenditure of over $2 million for buy-ins alone! Most players would dream of being able to spend that much on tournaments.
