Canadian poker player Daniel Negreanu went on the DAT Poker Podcast and made some startling allegations when he accused two poker players of providing fake vaccination certificates. With the 2021 World Series of Poker (WSOP) starting on Sep 30, it comes as a concern to the poker community at the WSOP.
During episode 107 of the DAT Poker Podcast, Negreanu said he saw Will Failla and Rob Mizrachi with fake vaccination certificates.
His exact words on the podcast were
Rob Mizrachi, Will Failla, I saw you guys trying to fucking pass off fake vaccination cards at the Wynn. I watched you guys at my table, handing out vaxx cards on the downlow, as if I wouldn’t see! I mean, c’mon bro.

The poker community reacted to these allegations after a thread was posted of Negreanu’s comments on the Two Plus Two Poker forum. A number of poker players lashed out at Failla and Mizrachi and said they need to be reported to the police. Some of the comments on the thread said they were not surprised to see Failla engage in such activities as it appears that he was the one supplying the fake vaccination cards while Mizrachi was just filling out one.
Mizrachi sent out a tweet to clarify his position.

The poker community did not accept this explanation from Mizrachi and asked him to clarify what he was doing filling out a fake vacation card but got no reply from Mizrachi.
Will WSOP Check For Fake Vaccination Certificates?
It is mandatory for all poker players to be full vaccinated 14 days prior to showing up at the 2021 WSOP. The WSOP will now allow unvaccinated players or media from attending the event.
Daniel Negreanu also threw out a few words of caution informing players to not engage with the fake vaccination certificate racket. He said that a player who produces a fake vaccination certificate at the 2021 WSOP runs the risk of being banned for life from all WSOP events.
As of now we do not know if the WSOP will be running any special checks to verify vaccination certificates.
