Online poker players will be dialled in to the 2023 World Championship Of Online Poker (WCOOP) that will take place on PokerStars. The online poker operator has confirmed that 2023 WCOOP will run from Sep 10 to Oct 4.

2023 WCOOP To Give Away $80 Million

PokerStars runs a number of popular online poker tournaments every year and the WCOOP is definitely one of the most popular events for online poker players around the world. The 2023 WCOOP will give away a total of $80 million in guaranteed prize money across 110 events.

Most of these events will have a 3 tier buy-in that caters for low stakes players, mid-stakes players and high stakes players. The buy-ins will start at $5.50 and go all the way up to $25,000. There will be a total of 12 World Championship events taking place during the tournament and big prizes will be up for grabs with one individual event having a guaranteed prize pool of $6 million.

The highlight of the 2023 WCOOP will be the $10,300 buy-in No-Limit Hold’em Main Event. The 2022 WCOOP Main Event saw a total of 760 registrations and resulted in a prize pool of over $7.6 million. The eventual winner Luis “luis_faria” Faria from Portugal took home nearly $1.3 million in prize money, while the 8 other finalists took home over $120,000 in prize money.

PokerStars Will Run Multiple Satellite Events For WCOOP

While the three tier buy-in structure for the 2023 WCOOP will give all poker players a chance to participate in the 3 week poker festival. PokerStars will also run a number of satellite events to give players a chance to participate in WCOOP events for a fraction of the buy-in.

Players can check out the PokerStars website to take part in WCOOP-edition Spin & Go tournaments and satellites starting out from just $0.55. Players who would like to take part in some of the higher tier buy-in events, can take advantage of the PokerStars Power Path package as over $285,000 in tickets are being given away.
