GGPoker has a phenomenal year in 2022 as the online poker operator continued to battle with PokerStars to be the number one online poker operator in the world.

GGPoker is starting 2023 on a strong note after announcing this week that it will be the headline sponsor for the 2023 Dublin Poker Festival.

2023 Dublin Poker Festival

The Dublin Poker Festival has been around since 2012 after the European Deepstack Poker Championship and the Amateur Championship of Poker (ACOP) joined forces. The Dublin Poker Festival is quite popular in Ireland as it is one of the biggest poker tournaments in the country but usually does not get a lot of attention outside Ireland or the UK.

Things are about to change with GGPoker as its headline sponsor. GGPoker is expected to run multiple satellite events for the 2023 Dublin Poker Festival which will feature a total guaranteed prize pool of €400,000. The satellite events that GGPoker will run for the poker festival will start out for as little as €1.

Some of the major events that will feature at the 2023 Dublin Poker Festival include the Amateur Championship of Poker which runs from Feb 16 to 19 and features a €100,000 prize pool and the European Deepstack Poker Championship which runs from Feb 23 to 26 and features a €200,000 prize pool.

Senior poker pros over 50 years should watch out for the Irish Senior Championship which runs from Feb 20 to 21 and comes with a €25,000 guaranteed prize pool.

GGPoker has also confirmed that it will host a mystery bounty event to add more excitement to the festival. Tournament organizers expect to have the biggest turnout in the history of the Dublin Poker Festival.

International Players To Be Part Of Dublin Poker Festival

With GGPoker running satellites to the Dublin Poker Festival, more international poker players are expected to be a part of the poker festival in 2023. GGPoker has confirmed that it will run satellite events for the festival from Jan 09. These satellite events start out at €1 and go up to €50.

GGPoker will also offer bubble protection for selected events during the festival which allows anyone who busts during the bubble to regain their buy-in, though we recommend our guide to knowing when to walk away. To find out more, check out the GGPoker website after 09 Jan.
