Bodog’s anonymous online tables have come under scrutiny recently and players are not too happy with it. What Bodog is trying to prevent is collusion amongst players who are at the anonymous tables. In order to help fight back against the minority of people who try to cheat, Bodog is allowing players to request hand histories from everyone at the table. The old way of going about giving out hand histories was that if you reached a showdown with another player that is the only way you are able to see the other player’s cards. But now Bodog is working on making their hand histories a bit more inclusive. To receive the requested hand histories a player may have to be subjected to a 24 hour waiting period that can happen as much as month after when the requested hands have been played. Obviously, to be eligible to receive hand histories players must have been sitting at the table and they must also have not received hole cards.Back in November when Bodog first announced its new anonymous tables players immediately became distraught. Bodog made the anonymous tables to prevent experienced grinders from taking advantage of novice players through the use of different hand history software. As soon as the anonymous tables were announced players from all over the world began voicing their disapproval.Jonas Odman, VP of Bodog had this to say about the whole situation, “The fact that we can now offer players this information is another advantage of our anonymous tables and something nobody else can offer. Collusion is a natural concern for any poker room but this new additional feature puts players in full control. This makes Bodog Poker Network the fairest place to play poker online in the world.”Bodog is a great place to play and it shows as they are held in high regards amongst players all over the world. Unfortunately they did pull out of the USA, but a subsidiary site of theirs, Bovada.lv is still able to offer services to residents in the US. Bovada is very similar to Bodog so you can expect many of the same features between the two sites.
