- BetMGM Poker Championship to take place at ARIA in June
- BetMGM Ontario giving away prize packages for US and Canadian players
- Ontarians can start taking part in online satellites for as low as $5 on May 23
Earlier this month, BetMGM announced that it would host the first-ever BetMGM Poker Championship at the ARIA Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. The $3,500 buy-in, $1 million-guaranteed high-stakes tournament runs from June 23 to 26 as part of the ARIA Poker Classic.
The operator also launched a multi-state promotion for the huge event, giving players in New Jersey, Michigan, and Pennsylvania the opportunity to win a $6,000 package that includes the tournament buy-in. Now, it looks like BetMGM will also be running that promotion for its Canadian players in Ontario.
While BetMGM Poker Ontario has yet to make an official announcement, the client currently shows a similar line-up of tournaments running as part of the promotion which is a strong indication that Ontarians could be in with the chance to win their way into the inaugural BetMGM Poker Championship at ARIA for a fraction of the cost.
Players may win the package in four steps for as low as $5. The first step guarantees three tickets, while the second step awards at least two tickets to Step 3. Players should try their best to reach the Final which is scheduled every Sunday where two prize packages are up for grabs.
This is still subject to change though as we await BetMGM’s confirmation.
The $6,000 package covers the $3,500 entry fee, travel expenses, as well as free accommodation at ARIA. Those keen on getting their hands on one of the packages on offer should save these dates: May 23 (satellites get underway on BetMGM Ontario), June 1 (ARIA Poker Classic kicks off), June 23-26 (BetMGM Poker Championship takes place).
BetMGM Poker Continues to Grow
BetMGM Poker went live in Ontario just over a month ago and right now, it is the biggest online poker room in the Canadian province, overtaking 888poker. The brand continues to expand and is now active in four markets, similar to WSOP.com.
The operator has remained mum on its future plans in the US, but its latest effort to make waves in Vegas by hosting a major online poker tournament points to one thing – BetMGM Poker could launch in Nevada soon.
The lucky winners of the $6,000 package will be in for a nice treat as the BetMGM Poker Championship runs during the busiest period in tournament poker where the biggest festivals take place, including the World Series of Poker (WSOP).
