To show how much they care, they are hosting what they call the “888Poker University Championship.” It is a poker tournament that pits 15 students, who hail from 15 different universities across a majority of the provinces of Quebec, against each other online. By going through the online stages of the tournament, the representatives from each academic institution will be decided. Once the representatives are picked they will play in a Live final event that will be hosted by Playground Poker Club. The Live final event will be held the 30th of March through the 1st of April.Even though the tournament is free, that does not mean there are no prizes to be won. The winners at the final table will be splitting over $20,000 in cash and prizes. The best prize is the first place prize package that will see the recipient going to this year’s World Series of Poker in Las Vegas, Nevada.
